ECHOS was integral in the design, procurement, administration, implementation and commissioning of the 663KW hybrid solar power system for the Caribbean's "Greenest Building". The system combines 600KW of solar thermal cooling technology with 63KW of solar PV glass-roof panels using custom-designed BIPV (building-integrated solar photovoltaic) panels.

ECHOS installed 115 Schüco BIPV solar panels and 5 SMA 12000TL solar PV inverters in a project developed over a year and delivered via installation in  just under 2 weeks.

2013: R&D Poultry Farm

ECHOS designed, procured and installed the 87KW solar PV system at R&D Poultry Farm (affiliated with the CB Group) to achieve up to 67% overall energy savings from the farm's operations. The solar PV was part of the overall energy efficiency project which saw 4.6KW of LED lighting replacing 15.36KW of lighting thus instantly reducing lighting-related consumption [and costs] by 70%

The project involved the installation of 348 Suniva solar PV panels and 15 SolarEdge solar PV inverters in three separate installations in just under a week.

2013: Duval Poultry Farm

ECHOS designed, procured and installed the 24KW solar PV system at Duval Poultry Farm (affiliated with the CB Group) to achieve up to 56% overall energy savings from the farm's operations. The solar PV was part of the overall energy efficiency project which saw 1.06KW of LED lighting replacing 4.12KW of lighting thus instantly reducing lighting-related consumption [and costs] by 75%.

The project involved the installation of 96 Suniva solar PV panels and 6 SolarEdge solar PV inverters in three separate installations in just under a week.

2014: Gentles Poultry Farm

ECHOS designed, procured and installed the 56KW solar PV system at Gentle's Poultry Farm (affiliated with the CB Group) to achieve up to 60% overall energy savings from the farm's operations. The solar PV was part of the overall energy efficiency project which saw 3.98KW of LED lighting replacing 19.62KW of lighting thus instantly reducing lighting-related consumption [and costs] by 80%

The project involved the installation of 224 photovoltaic panels by ET Solar International and 14 SolarEdge solar PV inverters in two separate installations in under a week.

2012: Iberostar Resorts Jamaica

ECHOS has developed and continues to service and manage the sustainability program of Iberostar's 3 resorts in Jamaica. The resort's programs were designed to ECHOS standards and easily met the requirements of The GreenGlobe Standard since its first certification assessment in 2012. ECHOS continues to guide  the resorts' decisions with respect to environmental sustainability processes, environmental health and risk management activities and social development programs aimed at maximizing the resorts' impact on making positive change in surrounding communities and with climate change concerns.

2016: Sandals Resorts International

ECHOS has worked diligently with Sandals Resorts International to maintain their sustainability programs and their drive to industry excellence. We provide services such as training, risk concept development, EH&S support platforms, management guidance and much more. Our managing director was (and remains) integral in the carving of the sustainability pathway of this great Caribbean tourism company.

We have worked with Sandals Resorts since June 2007 in the capacity of sustainability risk consultants and we still help to guide the development of programs for achieving industry best practices and peak efficiencies..

2016: CaribShare Biogas Plant

ECHOS has designed and installed the entire electrical backbone of the CaribShare Biogas operating plant in St. James, outfitting the facility with a 6000-watt solar photovoltaic self-support (off-grid) system designed to run this plant 24/7. Caribshare Biogas (formally The Caribshare Company Limited), is Jamaica's first not-for-profit social enterprise waste-to-energy operator. The company works primarily with farmers and hotels, converting their organic refuse into useful biogas and returning a portion of any revenues generated to the very farmers who supplied the waste in the first place.
